“ A very elusive , yet gorgeous spot on the other side of the unexplored island with serene views of the ocean and dining right on the sand !! Very fresh seafood and mee taste like traditional malay prawn noodles! ”
“ The road leads to this place is a bit narrow and bumpy. The mee udang gravy is not so thick but I love it. The price is reasonable, 4 to 5 medium prawns with rm12. Don't miss their cucur udang, the cucur is super crispy and the peanut sauce served in hot. Staff is friendly. The environment is great.. Nice beach and a beautiful lake. The business start on 11.30am, go early to avoid crowd. ”
“ I had a farewell lunch here. The mee udang was delicious. Sotong was abit chewy but acceptable. The seaview was splendid and relaxing. We had a few uninvited buzzing guests joining the feast. The pakcik with a badminton racket smashed them out of their misery. Watch out for the wavy road when entering the restaurant. ”
“ On the Southern edge of Penang, well off the beaten path sits this eatery along the beach in the Teluk Kumbar area. A few wooden huts make up the restaurant and you can either dine al-fresco or there are some shaded dining tables too in case it rains. Parking is never a problem since it's open land by the beach. and you're greeted by a table where a "receptionist" takes your order. Then you're free to choose where you want to sit. The dishes are packed with some of the freshest seafood you will ever taste. My friends and I went a bit overboard, and decided to have not only the mee with prawns and squid, but also ordered the dry variety and also an XL version of the mee along with a cucur. All were excellent, though I did have a penchant for the mee udang kering (fred) one. The cucur was made fresh to order and was packed with delicious bit of fried seafood. What's not to like about dining by the beach, having good food and watching the flights making final approach towards the airport from the sea?! ”
“ I ordered Maggie Sotong Goreng, taste nice but spicy, so if you can't take spicy, you may request less spicy. My friend ordered Kuah/Soup, they feel still goreng taste better. The seafood is fresh and i feel a reasonable price as all was seafood. The set cucur udang also should order if you like this type of food. All served with hot. We went during lunch time, the weather was good, we did not feel hot because have wind but only feel a bit sticky due to near sea. Biasa la tu. You need to order your food at the entrance. For those scared of cats then just FYI there are few. It's worth going there, good food, good view, good mood. Go with a relaxed mood. ”
